SALTICID SATURDAY: adult female Phidippus californicus
#spiders#spider#jumping spiders#salticidae#this is actually the first female I’ve seen with chelicerae this green#most of them have been blue or teal#my photos#(also I took her off the wall because I think she was big-sprayed and she was kind of languishing there)#(gave her water which is why the rose petal is there)#(I don’t know what her survival chances are but she was still resting-but-definitely-alive when I checked a couple days later)

Btw these were the other sheets I nabbed for actual Bedding purposes. Frankie helped lay them out obviously :'3
#sucktacular sucks#i might either put the white one on the wall or replace one of our#perma bed fort cloths with it. he put hooks in the ceiling and put string across#and then pinned some flat sheets over abd around it. it helps with keeping the bed dark#during sunny sleepings. and warm and cozy#blue/teal is a heavy ass duvet cover(?) not sure. it seems like it but it also has two small side openings#its from ikea but idk what it is frankly fjejhcjs gonna use it as a duvet cover none the less :)#its more on the blue side. lighting sucks#edit: okay so after some research and translation it IS a duvet cover#its an older ikea duvet cover because it has those two openings at the top sides#this makes it a nordic style duvet cover. apparently its more common to have those openings#to make it easier to put the duvet in and pull it through. as well as fixing a slipping duvet after sleep#but ikea doesnt do that style anymore cuz ppl thought the covers were broken and kept returning them vjdjbfbd#westerner momence

i’m so cool and strong!!!!!!
#i painted a wall today by myself!!!!! i was feeling very high spoons and capable partly bc i rly wanted it done#ive never done any house painting before!!!!!! all told it took 12 hours#including 2 hours for masking the edges#i learned halfway through that having a cutting brush makes. everything so much. easier. so i know that now#it’s for our living room in the place we are moving into asap#and it looks. so good!!!! got dark teal feature wall. mainly blue other walls. then a white one (as of today)#just makes things feel so much brighter and more open!!!!#we are probably going to have to rip up the carpet which will be fun but. very difficult#anyway im going to be in so much pain tomorrow. 12 hours was too long for me to work (has ehlers danlos)#but i Did It and now the task is done and i feel. accomplished#not magnus content

rearranged my room for the first time in i think 8 years (???) and i really need to put stuff on the walls..
#the consequences of living in 2 houses where neither one really felt like home so i never bothered to decorate and now im in college and im-#almost never here for a long time.....#is it even worth it like i dont even know how long ill be staying here over the next few years#no ykw i will do something! i just gotta figure out what....#i would also loooooove to repaint these walls (the teal blue is so 2014 its awful 😭) but then i'd have to move the furniture and meh#nonsims#dl

Got a new weighted blanket that has the weight evenly distributed throughout instead of everything falling to one end <3
#random post#my old one was like a giant beanbag almost. so if you lifted one side. all the weight would fall to the other side#this one has like a bunch of squares with some of the weight in each of em. so one side isn’t heavier than the other#also. it’s purple! it goes really well with my pink carpet and green walls#if there was light blue I probably would have gone with that. but the only blues they had were like navy or teal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s fine tho
